Weston ZBA approves Columbine Road addition amendment, continues Summer Street case
WESTON — October 12, 2022 — Weston ZBA approves minor addition amendment on Columbine Road and tables Summer Street hearing pending historical review. The Zoning Board of Appeals, with Acting Chair Winifred R. Lee and members Alan D. Rose Jr. and Steven J. LaRock, unanimously approved a 71-square-foot amendment to a previously granted special permit for Randall Davis and Dana Lynn Penny at 7 Columbine Road, expanding a 2021-approved 437-square-foot addition to accommodate a parent moving in with the couple; a special permit was required because the home sits 1.4 feet inside the northerly side-setback line. A separate special-permit request by F. Bornier Jr. on behalf of Andrea Testa for 66 Summer Street was continued to October 25 at 7:30 p.m. after all three members said they preferred to wait for the Historical Commission's determination, expected from the commission's October 18 meeting, before reviewing the full proposal. The meeting also marked the informal farewell of applicants' attorney Jonathan White, who told the board he was stepping back from practice after roughly 35 years of appearances before the ZBA.
