Weston Sustainability Committee defers Open Space Plan decision. At its February 26 meeting, the committee welcomed new at-large member Rose Li and new Sustainability Assistant Libby Lichter. The town earned a Climate Leaders Designation that opens grant opportunities.
The solar array at Field School has generated $18,000 in annual savings, and residents have saved money through the Weston Power Choice program. The committee postponed providing a letter of support for the Open Space and Recreation Plan, requesting deeper alignment review with town sustainability goals. More than 10 students attended a State House climate advocacy day, advocating on clean air, education funding, and preventing gas expansion.
