Weston Select Board Ratifies Police Union Contract Covering Three Fiscal Years
WESTON — December 21, 2022 — Weston Select Board ratifies police union contract adding Juneteenth and three years of cost-of-living raises. Meeting as a two-member quorum on December 21, acting Chair Laurie Bent and member Harvey Bossart voted unanimously to approve the agreement, which covers fiscal years 2023 through 2025 with cost-of-living adjustments of 2 percent, 2.5 percent, and 2.5 percent. Town staff Leon Goeman presented the package after the board returned from executive session, noting it also incorporates Juneteenth as a contractual paid holiday "in accordance with the state and federal requirements." The board separately approved a consent agenda that included a $10,000 Select Board authorization for a town celebration.
