Weston Conservation Commission Issues Two Orders of Conditions at October Meeting

WESTON — October 17, 2023 — Weston Conservation Commission closes two hearings and issues orders of conditions at its October 17 meeting. The commission voted unanimously to issue orders for 4 Briar Lane, where owner Henry Lou will demolish and rebuild a single-family home while removing an in-ground pool and retaining wall to reduce impervious area near wetlands, and for 444 Glenn Road, where two failing cesspools will be replaced in a ledge-constrained lot. A notice of intent for a driveway expansion and wetland-area restoration at 266 North Ave was continued to November 7 after the applicant acknowledged a stormwater plan revision and a DPW permit had not yet been completed; the project faces a November 15 seasonal paving deadline. A request for determination of applicability at 412 Highland Street for a well and irrigation system was approved with a negative determination under Category 3. The commission also received an update on a $5,000 Leafs EA grant-funded wildflower planting at the Case Estates involving 160 second-grade students and 300 native plants in partnership with Zoo New England.
