Weston Conservation Commission Issues Three Development Orders, Advances Wetlands Bylaw Draft

WESTON — March 1, 2022 — Weston Conservation Commission closes two residential rebuild hearings and advances local wetlands bylaw toward town counsel review. Chair Rees Tulloss presided over a unanimous five-member quorum that issued orders of conditions for 21 Chestnut Street and 115 Country Drive — both tear-down-and-rebuild projects with new stormwater management systems — each contingent on receipt of a DEP file number. The panel also issued a negative Category 3 determination for an in-ground pool at 80 Cherrybrook Road, roughly 33 feet from a wetland, with a condition requiring MWRA best-management-practice pool discharge protocols. On the bylaw front, conservation staff told the commission the working group's draft is "probably there" for a first legal review and proposed sending it to town counsel, with public information sessions targeted for later in the spring ahead of a special fall Town Meeting. A state-listed wildflower, violet bush clover, was flagged at the Doublet Hill water tank replacement site as a constraint requiring MassWildlife coordination.
