Weston Planning Board closes four hearings, sends Riverside Road decision to Town Counsel

WESTON — March 2, 2022 — Weston Planning Board closes four public hearings and defers Riverside Road life-science decision to Town Counsel. At a remote March 2 meeting that ran past 10 p.m., Chair Leslie Glynn and members Alex Selvig, Lori Hess, Stephen Oppenheimer, and others unanimously closed hearings on residential projects at 5 Radcliffe Road, 221 Boston Post Road, 67 Clifford Road, and the major mixed-use life-science development at 915 and 20 Riverside Road — but agreed no vote on the Riverside decision should occur until Town Counsel reviews bonding language for road improvements and biosafety conditions. Glynn challenged the developer of 5 Radcliffe Road on a planting plan heavy on arborvitae, saying "19 arborvitae is not the answer" for one of Weston's most scenic roads. The hearing on a pool addition at 45 Hidden Road was continued to March 16 after a speaker raised questions about whether the Weston Golf Club had received proper abutter notification. The board approved the 7 Clifford Road decision and the February 16 minutes, both pending minor edits from Glynn.
