Weston Conservation Commission Continues Robin Road Hearing, Closes Sudbury Road Septic Case

WESTON — July 8, 2025 — Weston Conservation Commission continued a Robin Road home-addition permit and accepted a Polliwog Pond enforcement restoration plan at its July 8 meeting. Member Glenn Butcher chaired in the absence of Chair Rees Tulloss, presiding over four votes with members Eileen Fava, Robert Mosher, and Alison Fronk Barlow. The commission voted 4-0 to continue the notice of intent for 36 Robin Road — where Christopher Canton of Metro West Engineering is seeking approval for a garage addition and deck expansions that would add 713 square feet of impervious cover within the 100-foot wetland buffer zone — until July 22 at 7:45 p.m., pending stormwater comments from town consultant Richard Sweeney. A 4-0 vote closed the straightforward septic tank replacement at 111 Sudbury Road, where designer Evan Carloni confirmed the project fell below the stormwater permit threshold. The commission also voted 4-0 to accept a native-planting restoration plan prepared by Michael Schmidt of Goddard Consulting for 15 Polliwog Walk, where a landscaper's unpermitted clearing near Polliwog Pond triggered a June 10 enforcement order against property owner Dr. Gagan Joshi; fall 2025 planting and two years of seasonal monitoring are required, with 75 percent native coverage the benchmark for success.
