Weston Conservation Commission closes North Avenue enforcement order, continues two wetlands cases

WESTON — November 18, 2025 — Weston Conservation Commission closed a two-year enforcement case and continued two wetland hearings at its November 18 meeting. The commission unanimously issued a certificate of compliance and formally closed a May 2023 enforcement order for 266 North Avenue, where a homeowner had been cited for unauthorized fill and vegetation disturbance within the riverfront area of Stony Brook; consultant Doug Dillon of Garner Consulting reported 100 percent survival on the most recent plantings and a fully stabilized slope. A Notice of Intent for 44 Page Road — a home replacement within the 200-foot riverfront area of Hobbs Brook — was continued to December 16 after staff identified a mitigation shortfall: the applicant, represented by Garrett Tunizan of Tunizan Environmental Consultants for owner Jin Shen, had proposed 1,500 square feet of ecological restoration against a calculated two-to-one requirement of 2,280 square feet. A second septic-replacement case at 76 Scotch Pine Road was continued to December 2 pending stormwater comments, while a related Request for Determination of Applicability at 61 Scotch Pine Road received a unanimous Negative 3 Determination, with staff noting the Castellucci family's plan to relocate their entire septic system outside the 100-foot wetland buffer zone as an environmental improvement.
