Select Board authorizes Route 30 project to advance to 75 percent design

WESTON — January 14, 2025 — Weston Select Board advances Route 30 redesign and restructures water tank working group. The board voted unanimously on Jan. 14 to authorize consultant Howard Stein Hudson to fold Traffic and Sidewalk Committee recommendations into the Route 30 project as it moves from 25 percent to 75 percent design, Town Manager Leon Gaumond said in his recap; two members participated in the vote. The board separately agreed to expand the water tank working group and reconstitute its meetings as Select Board meetings subject to the Open Meeting Law, while leaving open whether to engage an owner's project manager. "At the next Select Board meeting, I'm expecting that there will be further discussions" on the OPM question, Gaumond said. The board also met in executive session with town counsel on the 518 South Ave. 40B project and approved its consent agenda.
