Planning Board defers water guidelines, continues four hearings to July 7

WESTON — June 16, 2021 — Weston Planning Board returns to in-person meetings, defers water-landscape guidelines pending committee review. Chair Leslie Glynn led the board's first hybrid session in 15 months June 16, with Vice Chair Alex Selvig participating via Zoom and four scenic-road hearings continued to July 7. The board declined to advance draft WaterSense landscape guidelines until consulting the town water working group. "I really think perhaps we could wait until we talk to the water group before we have public hearings that actually change things," Glynn said. The board approved a certificate of action for 416 Conant Road and reviewed projects including a 6,154-square-foot expansion at 621 South Avenue and an 8,071-square-foot finishing project at 203 Westerly Road. Members flagged up to 320 daily car trips from overlapping summer camps at the Rivers School. Resident Rick Shea was ruled out of order after challenging the board's water-policy record.
