Planning Board defers three site plans, re-elects Lanier as vice chair

WESTON — June 5, 2024 — Weston Planning Board sends three residential site plans back for revisions, continues hearings into late June. The June 5 board re-elected Timothy Shawn "Sean" Lanier as vice chair on a 4-0 vote with Lanier abstaining, after Chair Leslie Glynn signaled she will not seek another term. Members rejected a 4,239-square-foot teardown rebuild at 183 Conant Road over a 36.26-foot ridge and roughly 50 feet of exposed roof downspouts; consultant Dave Conway called the exposed piping a hazard, and Glynn said it was "not the type of engineering we look for on scenic roads in Weston." A 1,250-square-foot detached squash court and pool at 100 Black Oak Road was continued to June 26 after abutter Marjorie Nairns of 11 Middle Way said her downhill property floods every storm since the lot was redeveloped. Impervious area there would rise from 9,324 to 13,017 square feet. A 6,130-square-foot addition at 44 Legion Road was sent back to eliminate a second curb cut.
