Planning Board closes Pigeon Hill enforcement, sets 30-day replanting deadline

WESTON — June 17, 2020 — Weston Planning Board closes Pigeon Hill tree-removal case and clears a six-lot subdivision concept. The board voted 4-0 to approve an amended landscape plan for 13 Pigeon Hill Road after the owner cut 10 mature trees without permits, ordering completion within 30 days and before any sale of the home and designating the slope below a new retaining wall a "no-lawn, no-mulch" zone. "Let it grow. You can cut it once a year just like a meadow," acting Chair Leslie Glynn said. For 576 North Avenue, engineer Rob Gemma told the board a six-lot conventional plan on the Clifford Harrington estate is what builders "would term the bulletproof plan"; the hearing was continued to July 1. The board also closed hearings on a $5,591-square-foot rebuild at 183 Ridgeway Road and a pool-house addition at 2 Fields Pond Road measured at 29.6 decibels at the rear property line, and was notified of a Select Board push, drafted by KP Law, for a September fire-and-communications-tower bylaw with no size limits.
