Conservation Commission renews sidewalk herbicide delineation, clears two house projects

WESTON — June 16, 2020 — Weston Conservation Commission renews sidewalk vegetation delineation and signs off on two completed rebuilds. Acting Chair Ellen Freeman Roth ran the June 16 remote meeting in Chair Joe Berman's absence and led members Alison Fronk Barlow, Cynthia Chapra, Josh Feinblum and Rebecca Lovies through five unanimous roll-call votes. The commission issued a negative-five determination under 310 CMR 10.03 letting DPW's contracted applicator continue spraying within sidewalk buffer zones under the town's five-year vegetation management plan, presented by newly promoted Deputy Director of Project Management Ken Calder. Certificates of compliance issued for 44 Oak Street and 11 Briar Lane, and a negative-three determination cleared a 14-by-20-foot shed at 79 Drabbington Way. A notice of intent for 71 Concord Road — covering a garage relocation and an after-the-fact septic system — was continued to July 7 at 7:35 p.m.
