WESTON — November 23, 2021 — Weston ZBA extends South Avenue 40B hearing deadline to May 23, 2022. The Zoning Board of Appeals voted 3-0 on Nov. 23 to accept written consent from applicant 518 South Avenue LLC under 760 CMR 56.05(3), giving the board a 180-day extension on its Chapter 40B comprehensive permit review for 200 rental units — 50 affordable — on roughly 9.54 acres at 510, 518 and 540 South Ave. Chair Jane Carlson, with members Winifred Lee and Sujit Sitole, then scheduled a Dec. 14 continuance to take up traffic, architecture, landscaping and a civil-engineering overview, deferring stormwater and groundwater mounding to January. Peer reviewer Matt Davis told the board his groundwater work is sequenced behind abutter consultant McDonald Morrissey's review. Applicant attorney David Hall confirmed new team engineer Tom Ballestero of UNH "will not be submitting a report."
