Weston ZBA Approves Generator Permit, Delays Shed Variance for Revised Plan

WESTON — June 26, 2023 — Weston's Zoning Board of Appeals unanimously approved a generator upgrade at 7 Columbine Road and continued a shed variance at 126 Pine Street to July 26. Acting Chair Winifred Lee, Associate Member Wendy Kaplan Amour, and Associate Member Tristan Colangelo granted a special permit for owners Randall Davis and Dana Lynn Penny, whose contractor S&H Construction will replace a 10-kilowatt standby generator with a quieter 22-kilowatt unit and relocate an aging AC condenser further from the neighboring lot line. In the second case, homeowners David and Meredith Noe sought a variance to place a prefabricated 10-by-12-foot shed roughly six feet from their north property line; the board directed them to return with a revised landscape sketch showing the structure moved as close to 18 feet from the line as site conditions allow, citing the permanent ramp, corner-lot constraints, and a stormwater-restricted grade as complicating factors.
