Weston Select Board Authorizes Concord Road Resurfacing, Fills Two Committee Seats

Select Board Rewind with Leon Gaumond · Meeting of July 29, 2026

Weston Select Board clears committee vacancies and moves Concord Road resurfacing forward. The board, meeting jointly with the School Committee on July 28, unanimously reappointed Jim Palando to the Permanent Building Committee and appointed Adam King to the Recreation Master Plan Steering Committee, filling seats that had been advertised and opened to applications. The board then authorized the Department of Public Works to advance a simple resurfacing of Concord Road — a project that had been held over from the last Town Meeting — with Town Manager Leon Gaumond saying the work could begin "as early as this year." The DPW briefing also flagged the possibility of traffic cameras at the Landsake Case Corner area to inform future improvements, and the board entered executive session on the JST project and the pending sale of the Case Buildings, with Gaumond noting only that "more will be forthcoming" on both matters.
