Weston School Committee Approves Consent Agenda, Adjourns in Five Minutes
WESTON -- July 15, 2024, Weston School Committee approved a five-item consent agenda and adjourned in under five minutes at its July 15 summer meeting. Chair Daina Selvig opened at 7 p.m. and immediately pulled an agenda item to approve executive committee mission minutes, citing member Kenneth Newberg's point that such items cannot be approved in open session. The remaining consent package, covering June 28 meeting minutes, a job description modification for the Director of Technology, Data and Innovation, a new job description for the Assistant Transportation Coordinator, a superintendent contract amendment expanding her housing allowance radius to 15 miles, and a regular warrant dated July 9, passed on a three-member roll-call vote. Vice-Chair Tiao Xie arrived late and cast the deciding vote to adjourn.
