WESTON — July 25, 2018 — Weston Planning Board redirects Sunday Woods driveway design and backs town on garage zoning. At the July 25 meeting, the board approved the rear-area site plan for a flexible subdivision modification at 3 Sunday Woods but continued the special permit hearing on the front driveway to September 19, steering the applicant toward a two-car pull-out in pervious paving rather than a loop driveway the board found disruptive to the streetscape. Residents from Orchard Avenue, Blake Road, and Tamarack Road appeared during public comment on the withdrawn Liberty Mutual application, disclosing a 30-year recorded neighborhood agreement through 2030 that restricts parking and occupancy expansions — an agreement board members said they had not previously known about; Kelly noted the company seeks a 64 percent parking increase and 54 percent head-count increase while the building has sat empty since March. The board also voted unanimously to approve a certificate of action for 18 Skating Pond Road with modifications, approved minutes for two prior meetings, and drafted a letter to the Zoning Board of Appeals affirming that the town's residential gross floor area definition covers garages of any kind, above or below grade.
