Weston Planning Board reelects Primer chair, continues two house design hearings

WESTON — May 26, 2021 — Weston Planning Board reelects Primer, defers two contested house plans and grants Meadowbrook camp one-year busing waiver. The board on May 26 voted 5-0 to keep Alicia Primer as chair and seated new member Laurie Hess. Hearings on a 3,615-square-foot scenic-road house at 416 Conant Road and a redesigned home at 10 Hitching Post Lane were both continued to June 2 after the applicants could not produce, respectively, drawings of an undisclosed glass-and-aluminum garage canopy and a tree-by-tree removal tally compared to the prior plan. Meadowbrook School won closure of its camp hearing after director of auxiliary programs Christy Jacoby argued that mixing unvaccinated camper cohorts on buses was unsafe; the camp expects 250 campers and roughly 90 staff across two three-week sessions starting July 6. "I would be okay with allowing it as a single year application and with absolutely no expectation from the Meadowbrook school that we're going to allow this to continue," member Leslie Glynn said. The board also closed the hearing on a Weston Golf Club kids camp permit and approved a 632 Wellesley Street site plan decision 3-0 with two abstentions.
