Weston Planning Board Approves Six Decisions, Seeks Counsel on Historic Demo Delay

WESTON — April 26, 2023 — Weston Planning Board approves six site decisions and refers historic demolition question to town counsel. At the April 26 meeting, Chair Leslie Glynn and members Alex Selvig, Timothy Shawn Lanier, Adrienne Giske, and Jing Yu considered a contested approval-not-required lot division at 45.9 Concord Road, where applicant Bill Mayo Smith sought to split a 2.44-acre parcel into a 200-foot-frontage buildable lot for sale. Member Giske argued the board should not act while a demolition delay on the existing structure at 49 Concord Road remains in effect until November 2023, prompting Glynn to direct town planner Imai Aiu to obtain a town counsel opinion within the board's 30-day ANR review window. The board voted unanimously to approve amendments and decisions for 506 North Avenue, 121 Rolling Lane, 20 Riverside Road solar array, a fence at 576 North Avenue, and a zero hemlock flexible subdivision denial, while the 45 Hidden Road landscaping amendment was continued after the board requested at least 50 percent native species among proposed plant substitutions.
