Weston Open Space Committee Advances Trail Connectivity Plan After Public Forums

WESTON — November 3, 2025 — Weston's Open Space and Recreation Planning Committee reviewed public forum results and debated formalizing cross-committee coordination at its November 3 meeting. Chair Beth led discussion of two recent forums — one in-person, one virtual — whose participants consistently prioritized trail connectivity and safer pedestrian access across town. Consultant Jill reported the open space plan is ahead of the town's parallel Unified Plan effort and that findings are being shared with Danielle Black's resources subcommittee. The group voted unanimously to approve prior minutes, set an early-December target for its next meeting, and is now tracking a January-February timeline for a complete draft plan — a modest slide from an earlier December goal.
