WESTON — July 12, 2018 — Weston Finance Committee approves year-end transfers, taps reserve fund for police overtime. The committee unanimously approved $55,500 in interdepartmental transfers under Chapter 44 Section 33B — including $40,000 from police expenses to police salaries — and drew an additional $80,000 from its reserve fund to cover police overtime driven by two unexpected retirements and a dispatcher vacancy. Police Chief Michael Goulding said the department hired two already-academy-trained officers to plug holes. Members elected Lisa as the new chair, replacing John, who has one year left on the committee.
