Weston Conservation Commission launches search to replace administrator Michelle Grisenda

WESTON — January 5, 2021 — Weston Conservation Commission opens succession process as administrator departs for Lincoln. Conservation Administrator Michelle Grisenda told the commission Jan. 5 she is leaving after roughly 12 years to become conservation director in Lincoln around Feb. 1, prompting Town Manager Leon Gaumond Jr. to outline a hiring process in which one commission member works with him and HR Director Lisa through screening before the full board joins at the finalist stage. Chair Joe Berman volunteered as initial liaison. Member Josh Feinblum pushed to retitle the role "conservation director" and resolve reporting-structure questions before posting, calling Grisenda's departure "avoidable" and saying, "we're not going to find anybody like her." The commission also issued a negative determination for a 12-by-14-foot shed at 345 Highland St., closed out a 1983 permit on Summer Street, and approved roughly $6,000 in the FY22 budget for summer mowing of the new Case Estates legacy trail.
