Trustees authorize portfolio reallocation to boost Merriam Fund yield

WESTON — The Merriam Fund trustees voted to authorize Chair Chris Palmer to seek portfolio reallocation from the Town's Investment Committee to increase fund yield for resident grants. Donations in 2025 reached a record $24,762.13, the highest amount ever recorded in a single calendar year. As of December 31, the fund had $19,568.46 available for future grants.
The trustees declined to adopt a formal grant-size policy, instead determining that requests would be assessed individually.
