Planning Board recommends rehiring former town planner, advances four reviews

WESTON — June 3, 2020 — Weston Planning Board votes to recommend rehiring its former town planner and advances four site reviews. Acting Chair Alicia Primer led a unanimous vote to close the recruitment search and ask the town manager to bring back the prior planner. Consulting landscape architect Kim told the board 10 trees came down at 13 Pigeon Hill Road since 2018 and recommended five replacement overstory trees plus 12 understory shrubs, paired with a berm and infiltration trench designed with engineer Kevin O'Leary of Jillson. Engineer Rob introduced a six-lot flexible subdivision at 576 North Avenue, where the density-proof yield is seven lots; abutter Henry Tiedemann warned of "a tremendous amount of fill." The board closed the public hearing on an 18 Skating Pond Road pool that adds 85 square feet of impervious area, 21 shrubs and three trees, with a decision vote set for June 17.
