Planning Board elects Primer chair after Flynn's immediate resignation

WESTON — May 20, 2020 — Weston Planning Board elects Alicia Primer chair after Tony Flynn's resignation takes effect mid-meeting. Flynn, who succeeded longtime chair Al Aydelott, stepped down at 7 p.m. May 20, citing the town's September election delay and a desire to focus on coronavirus recovery. Members Susan Zacharias, Leslie Glynn and Steve Oppenheimer joined Primer in a unanimous vote. Primer promised "transparency" and warned the board has posted no minutes for all of 2020 and is "in danger of getting in trouble again for open meeting law noncompliance." The board also continued its long-running 13 Pigeon Hill Road enforcement case after attorney Matthew Watsky and engineer Kevin O'Leary submitted a hydrology report two days before the meeting concluding runoff is unchanged from 2012 — a finding consulting engineer Dave Conway told members not to put "all our faith into," urging a physical fix to protect downhill neighbor Dionne Butt's flooded home.
