Planning Board continues 667 Wellesley house, approves 100 Highland carriage house

WESTON — October 21, 2020 — Weston Planning Board defers 10,228-square-foot Wellesley Street house pending shadow study and neighborhood context. The board on Oct. 21 continued the public hearing for 667 Wellesley St. to Nov. 4 after abutter David Skoll said the home would obscure his sight line and shadow his lot, citing a 1983 plan showing as little as 25.85 feet between his lot line and the existing screen porch. Chair Leslie Glynn told the applicant team — Doyle Engineering's Bill Doyle, architect Dan Quayle and landscape architect Angela Quayle — that the intake package omitted comparable residential gross floor area figures for neighboring homes. The actual RGFA is 7,938 square feet, the team said, below the advertised 10,228. The board separately closed the hearing on a 1,200-square-foot, three-bay carriage house at 100 Highland St. presented by Kevin Leonard of the Jolson Co. and architect Garrett of Catalano Inc., and prioritized a rules-and-regulations consolidation targeting May Town Meeting with Member Alex Selvig as lead.
