Planning Board approves Wellesley Street home, defers Ridgeway and Hitching Post decisions

WESTON — November 18, 2020 — Weston Planning Board approves one home, sends two back for revisions in marathon session. Acting Chair Pro Tem Sue Zacharias led a 4-0 vote approving the scenic road site plan for 667 Wellesley St. after the applicant team cut roughly 6,500 lumens from the lighting plan and moved the detention basin out of the 200-foot riverfront area at the request of Conservation Administrator Michelle. The board continued 240 Ridgeway Road to Dec. 2, telling owners Justin and Sarisha Marku their 3,499-square-foot replacement home — proposed about 20 feet forward of the existing house — must shift back. "This one's going to stick out like a sore thumb," member Steve Oppenheimer said. The board also continued 10 Hitching Post to Dec. 16 for a third site walk and approved a 4-0 amendment authorizing a six-foot dark-green cedar fence at 3 Black Oak Road over an abutter's scenic-byway objection.
