Planning Board approves three site plan amendments in single November session

WESTON — November 20, 2019 — Weston Planning Board approves three site plan amendments and routes a fourth to staff. The board on Nov. 20 unanimously cleared an expanded terrace, outdoor kitchen, fire pit and new dry-laid stone wall at 100 Ridgeway Road — keeping the project under the 1,417-square-foot hard-surface cap and 10,800-lumen lighting cap from the 2017 approval — along with an after-the-fact patio and 40-decibel generator at 37 Chiltern Road and removal of two declining white ash trees at 3 Pigeon Hill Lane. A 15 Evergreen Road attic-finish proposal will be handled administratively after the applicant dropped earlier requests for six rear skylights. Chair Leslie Glynn agreed to present Article 8, the scenic road bylaw "loophole" amendment, at the Dec. 3 Special Town Meeting, and directed staff to revise a Route 30 shared-use path letter to add protections for "stones and trees" in the town right-of-way. "It's a lost dog right now and I understand why," Glynn said of the missing townwide system for tracking required dry-well inspection logs, which DPW will address Dec. 11.
