Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of February 4, 2026

Weston ZBA unanimously approves variances to divide historic Case Estates property. The Zoning Board of Appeals granted three variances allowing the Town to divide a property into three separate residential lots, each with a historic structure: the Rand House, School House, and Hillcrest Stable. The new Lots 4A and 4B would measure 30,204 and 29,823 square feet with 90 and 125 feet of frontage, falling short of District A requirements of 60,000 square feet and 250 feet frontage.

Town Manager Leon Gaumond said previous attempts to sell the property as configured yielded no viable bids, but dividing it into separate lots with individual homes would increase marketability while preservation deed restrictions protect the historic structures.
