Weston Planning Board Approves Multiple Site Plans, Continues Two Hearings

WESTON — February 15, 2023 — Weston Planning Board approves six site plan actions and debates new tree documentation rules at February 15 meeting. Chair Leslie Glynn led the board through approvals for Two Fields Pond, 297 Meadowbrook Road, 21 Chestnut Street, and 221 Boston Post Road, while continuing public hearings for the 2 Sudbury Road scenic road application — a proposed 10,070-square-foot house with plans to remove 95 trees and replant 59 native trees — and the Zero Church Street flexible subdivision to April 5. The Two Fields Pond approval included a condition formally withdrawing a previously permitted two-story pool house, with member Timothy Shawn Lanier volunteering to work with Town Planner Emiya Liu on revising tree inventory and traffic study standards in the board's rules and regulations. The board also discussed drafting a letter to MassDOT and the MWRA about a 15-to-20-year construction period along the Route 30 and Interstate 128 corridor, including a water tunnel project slated to begin in 2027.
