WESTON — June 5, 2019 — Weston Planning Board approves five project permits and holds Oak Street occupancy amid eight documented violations. Meeting on June 5, the board voted unanimously to approve certificates of action for Global Premier Soccer, Meadowbrook Day Camp, the Be-Ahead-of-the-Game soccer camp at Woodland Elementary, the Weston Tennis Center summer membership, and site plan amendments at 11 Bradford and 23 Laurel Roads, among others. In the most contentious matter of the evening, the board reviewed eight violations of the 2016 site plan approval at 44 Oak Street — including unapproved driveway pillars, an oversize patio, and a fire pit — and directed that the temporary occupancy permit remain in place until all remediation is confirmed in the field, with a decision on an accompanying sunroom amendment scheduled for June 19. Abutter Bill told the board he had spent two years flagging after-hours construction and repeated code violations: "They went in front of the board and said we're not doing piers — they put piers in." A preliminary briefing on a 63 Carpath Road lot subdivision was continued for a full hearing after board members said they lacked sufficient information on septic siting and buffering obligations.
