Weston Planning Board advances camp permits, Chase Bank lighting, Beaver Road pool

WESTON — June 4, 2025 — Weston Planning Board closes five public hearings in one session, deferring all decisions to June 18. Chair Leslie Glynn presided over hearings for a Pro Path Soccer day camp at Weston Middle School, capped at 125 campers with a 20 percent overage threshold before a return visit is required; a Regis College permit covering two third-party camps with a combined maximum of 156 participants; a simplified lighting amendment for the Chase Bank branch at 25 Center Street; a pool and pool cabana addition at 144 Beaver Road complicated by a 15-page, 2010 conditions-of-approval document member Alex Selvig called "extraordinarily detailed"; and a screen porch and pergola addition at 203 Westerly Road. The board separately approved four previously heard decisions — 2 Clifford Road, the Cambridge School of Weston day camp, the Hidden Road residential permit, and the River School day camp — and heard that the town is pursuing every option to make MBTA 3A rezoning "financially infeasible" for the Modera developer at 751 Boston Post Road.
