Weston High School Ranks Among Top Public Schools In Massachusetts

WESTON — Weston High School placed among the state's top public high schools in a new ranking highlighted this week by Weston Patch. Closer to home, the Weston Public Library rolled out a new slate of virtual author talks and expanded its free museum pass program to nearly 30 area institutions.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Weston Public Library added three virtual author talks to its fall lineup. Biologist Beronda Montgomery will discuss how the history of trees in America intertwines with the history of Black Americans. Mystery writer Lucy Foley will talk about her new Miss Marple novel, "Murder at the Grand Alpine Hotel," and historian David O. Stewart will discuss his new book, "The Democracy We Must Keep," examining what the nation's founders said about democracy.

Younger patrons have new options too: a nine-hole, book-themed LED mini-golf course from One Up Games set up inside the library, and a sing-along with musician Jeannie Mack featuring old favorites, seasonal songs and fingerplays. The library also expanded its museum pass program, which now covers nearly 30 local institutions and is free to reserve for anyone with a Minuteman Library Network card in good standing.
