Weston enrichment fund committee approves $13,227.85 in grants with conflict split. The Weston Education Enrichment Fund Committee, meeting January 13, approved seven educational grants spanning discovery museum presentations, author visits, and disability advocacy programming for students across the district. The committee split votes to manage a conflict of interest: board member Jessie Chan abstained from voting on six PTO and Pupil Advancement and Acceleration Committee grants totaling $9,427.85, while voting separately on a $3,800 Ben Sandalls Memorial Speaker grant for Weston Middle School.

Year-to-date, the committee has raised $134,000 in net proceeds and approved $64,000 in grants. In a separate update, the Weston robotics program hit a historic milestone with 10 of 21 district teams advancing to the next level of competition.
