Weston Art Center reports strong summer, explores marketing shift. Manager Eliza Eddy told the Advisory Board that July programming ran at or near full capacity, with fall enrollment strong and many classes already near capacity; the board welcomed new Special Events Coordinator Fiona and volunteer Nicholas to assist with equipment operations. A preliminary fiscal report showed core programming at 17 percent contribution margins, below the 20 percent benchmark, while technical programming achieved 32 percent and rentals generated 60 to 80 percent margins.

The board is reconsidering its $6,000 annual Observer advertising spend and will explore a barter arrangement; August rental activity is already strong with thirteen bookings scheduled, including a Harvard entrepreneur program and corporate workshop retreats.
