Weston Unified Plan Committee approves facilities section, continues work on comprehensive land-use chapter. Chair Danielle Black confirmed the Facilities Issues and Opportunities document complete without committee objections Monday. The Land Use Issues and Opportunities document underwent substantial revision based on committee feedback, including removal of language suggesting single-family neighborhoods superior to multi-family, clarification of religious institution ownership and land use, and enhancement of housing projections.
The committee agreed to use existing demographic data from the Donahue Institute and Metropolitan Area Planning Council rather than waiting for a Select Board study expected in six months. Next meeting scheduled May 11 at 4 pm.
